Review by hotel critic
Mulgrave Lodge provided a delightful experience for a gourmet getaway, perfectly situated near local cafes and eateries, enhancing the culinary adventure. Upon arrival, Mina warmly welcomed us, showcasing exceptional hospitality by accommodating our early baggage drop-off, which was much appreciated. The dining experience was noteworthy, as the breakfast included a variety of fresh ingredients and a pleasant ambiance that encouraged relaxation. As I sipped coffee from the shared lounge, I enjoyed the tranquil garden view-a perfect space to unwind before starting the day. Our room, equipped with essentials like a kettle and instant coffee, offered a cozy environment for a restful night. Although I encountered an issue with the duvet not being available on the second bed, I found that navigating the shared kitchen was convenient for a late-night snack. While the price was competitive for the area, the overall quality-to-cost ratio could improve. It served its purpose well for a short stay. For those planning a culinary exploration in the vicinity, Mulgrave Lodge stands out as a commendable option with the added charm of neighborhood dining experiences-each within a short walk, including Strudel Artisan Bakery and the delightful Blue Ginger Café.
